Could someone please tell me which files and their relevant lines (httpd.conf, iPimp.conf and iPimpinclude.conf) need to have the port amended to 6000 (the one I would like to connect through)?

I've been trying to get a connection to iPimp through port 6000 but cannot connect! I've entered 6000 into everywhere that I think is relevant (in above files) but still no joy.

- Re-installing iPimp with default port 80 connects fine remotely and locally,
- All firewalls disabled,
- Router forwarded to port 6000 TCP/UDP and Canyouseemee confirms that port 6000 is open,
- netstat -abnop TCP states the following:
TCP 0.0.0.0:6000 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 1544
[httpd.exe]
- Trying to connect locally using Chrome I get the following error:

Code:
This web page is not available.

The web page at http://192.168.1.2:6000/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

  More information on this error
Below is the original error message

Error 312 (net::ERR_UNSAFE_PORT): Unknown error.

I just tried with port 7070 (entered during installation). All files now show port 7070 everywhere other than httpd.conf which shows port 8080.

netstat also now shows multiple httpd.exe listings for port 7070 and one for 8080.

Is this right? Yes I know it now works, but I'd like to understand the above :).

I now keep getting a "could not connect, send Wol." message when trying to connect to my MP client.

The MP client is on the same machine as the TV Server and iPimp. I have entered the friendly name which is the same as the hostname and entered the MAC. The Port is as default (I did not change this in the MP Process Plugin). All firewalls disabled.

Any ideas on where to go from here? I do not get any error.logs either.

Can you read the troubleshooting section of the wiki and post the logs please.

I started collecting logs and then got distracted by another task! Sometimes, I wish I was a female haha!

Sorry cheezey, logs attached. There weren't any error.log's for TV or MP.

Hope this helps and you're able to assist me in getting to the bottom of this :).

EDIT: I will also mention that I do not have the "iPimp Transcode TV Server plugin" installed as I have no intention of watching TV on my phone. Also, do please confirm whether the MP Client (mediaportal.exe) should be running when using iPimp? I have tried with it running and not running.

EDIT 2: Old Logs Deleted.

Yes you need MediaPortal.exe running, it runs the MPClientController plugin which is used by the iPiMP web application to control MediaPortal. I can see from your MediaPortal.log that you have the plugin installed but cannot see it starting up and listening on the default port of 55667, it is also not showing in netstat.txt. Can you confirm that the plugin is enabled in your Configuration as described in the wiki?

Well that's most odd. In the same manner as with the ports. It suddenly works and connects!? No idea what's up with that. Sorry for wasting your time cheezey, appreciate you looking into this for me nethertheless.

I mentioned that I do not have the TV Transcoding plugin installed, are MP4 files likely to play under Dorothy on a WinMo HD2?

No probs cheezey, will let you know when I get around to giving it a go. Although it's not something I require and I've been tweaking non-stop with my new server and htpc for the past 2 weeks so ready to start enjoying things now (for a while :)...)! Thanks for all your help and keep up the great work with iPimp.
