I was browsing in MovingPictures and switching between the different views, when suddenly I realised I was getting blank cover pictures. Shortly after, MP crashed and the attached log was generated.

your system ran out of memory
    Code:
    2010-11-23 20:56:22.437500 [ERROR][MPMain(1)]: OnMessage exception:System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.

How much memory is allocated to the GPU?

Strange, GPU is only allocated 256MB and I've got 4GB.

I'm running a 512MB RAM disk, but that should still leave plenty (Task Manager shows 2.2GB Available at the moment).

It was the GPU which ran out of memory not the system memory. can you increase this to 512MB? I have a feeling that streamed MP and lots of fanart might struggle with 256MB

OK, I'll give it a go, although I'd expect MP to work with lower memory graphics cards.

It will... Skins and plugins that use lots of pictures can easily eat up the memory on your graphics card so lower powered cards need less resource hungry skins / plugins. Do you have any software to monitor graphics memory usage?

I don't have anything that will monitor my onboard GPU's memory usage.

I just tried MemStatus but that shows no video memory being used, probably because it's actually using the system memory so it's included in that. RivaTuner won't work with my ATI IGP either.
