Ok Gys i never wanted to see this happen when buying a second handed asus pundit for 150€ and making a cheap HTCP. But well i even think it aint normal what is happenng and that there need to be a solution.

When i watch TV in My Winfast PVR program i get a CPU load from 31% i even can do a unrar at the same time. Then when i start Mediaportal i get a CPU load from 14%. Then i switch to TV mode and my load hits the 100% and my TV shutters.

I got a Intel Celeron 2.0GHz (S478, 2.0Ghz, 128KB, 400MHz FSB) @ 2.66Ghz but i think that CPU is fast enough when i see the specs from my TV card and from Media Portal.

So i just know there need to be a solution. if there aint tell me to get a Intel
Pentium 4 2.8GHz (S478, 2.8GHz, 512KB, 533MHz FSB)
or a Intel Celeron M 410 (S478, 1.46GHz, 533MHz FSB, 1MB)
or a Intel Pentium M 740 (S478, 1.73GHz, 2MB, 533MHz FSB)

well I hope there is a solution.

It's the onboard graphics that are screwing your CPU to 100%

Is there anyway that a seperate cheap DX9 Grafix card can be fitted inside, because without it, you will not be able to run Mediaportal.

well then you know sure that is the probem? not that i go buy myself a TV card and come back and see that also aint the solution. Winfast PVR only loads under 31% CU load so wy would it be 100% with mediaportal?

aint it mayby the problem from the decoder used? Dscaler? but well every decoder option gives me the 100% CPU load.

Ok if you now have all the correct hardware, would recommend for a HTPC, start from scratch installing XP with all latest drivers and updates, including .net2

Check everything is working correctly, including new TVcard with it's own software.

Once Done you can install MP and configure.

By doing it this way you know there is nothing corrupt left from a existing system to screw things up.
