I am having trouble when playing DVD on my mac mini (running windows) through mediaportal. The image and control are fine but the audio is crackily and sometimes choppy. I have tried about every codec and setting but alas no soup. The mac mini has been connected via optical to two receivers and now an SB audigy for testing. When listening through headphones I get the same thing. The internal speakers have been disabled using the registry change.

At this point I am unsure what to do as almost everything else in mediaportal works perfectly. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Try to change the default audio renderer. It's under plugins/settings/video/audio renderer.
The setting should be "default direct sound device" to avoid problems.
You can try other settings, there are many posts regarding audio problems solved changing the audio renderer.

Tried all of the available audio renderers but none solve the problem. Just realised I posted the system information wrong so I apologise for that.

I had the same problem before I installed FFDShow, I have post-processing disabled (enabling it doesn't work, just goes black) So again no soup.

Thanks for your time
