    Hi,

until now I had only DVB-T card, using MPC codec and everything was fine.
But when I added DVB-S card I have MP crash when changing channel from DVB-T to DVB-S (and and vice versa, but I´m not sure now).

It happens sometimes and it depends on the codec.
With MPC codec it crashing more often (about during 3th chann.change). With Cyberlink codec it works better, but still not perfect (about during 8th chann.change). I tried some other codecs, but they weren´t good and crashing too.

It happens only when changing card. When changing channels within one card (only on DVB-T or only on DVB-S) it is OK.

    Thanks for help.

    Hi wisdom

Are you using one of Owlsroost's custom dshowhelper DLLs? I ask because the crash message in the logs is:

"27.10.2011 7:34:58";"Application Error";"Havárie aplikací";"Error";"Nebyl nalezen popis objektu Event ID 1000 ve zdroji Application Error. Hi,

sorry for very late answer, but I had some problems with my HTPC (SSD failed to boot). Now, it´s OK again :)

So, I´m not using custom dlls - everything standard.
But in the meantime I solved the problem, but unfortunately I don´t know how :/
I changed many settings like a Tv service priority and type of dvb cards, and so on ...
And after that no crash happend on any codec. So, problem solved.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi wisdom

I'm just glad you managed to get it sorted. The issue could have been related to this:

I changed many settings like ... type of dvb cards...

You can't change the type of the card but you can change the "preferred network provider" setting -->here<--. Usually you should not touch that setting but there are some cases where it is necessary for stable tuning. Logs would have told me whether this was the problem so *please* remember to post logs when you ask for help - it could save you a lot of problems.

    Best regards,
    mm
