    Hi everyone,

    finally I thought, my HTPC is now up and running with all necessary codecs, then my MP started crashing when video playback starts...however, the video is playing well, but I get a crash notification from windows and when I say OK, then MP closes. I attach my logfiles, but IMHO the most important part is:

    2009-10-10 19:59:55.640625 [Info.][MPMain]: VideoPlayer:play E:\Video\Top Filme\Bowling for Columbine.avi
    2009-10-10 19:59:55.703125 [Info.][2]: MediaPortal: Unhandled exception occured
    2009-10-10 19:59:55.750000 [Info.][2]: Exception :confused:ystem.EntryPointNotFoundException: Der Einstiegspunkt MediaInfo_Delete wurde nicht in der DLL MediaInfo.dll gefunden.
    bei MediaPortal.Player.MediaInfo.MediaInfo_Delete(IntPtr Handle)

    2009-10-10 19:59:55.750000 [Info.][2]: Exception :Der Einstiegspunkt MediaInfo_Delete wurde nicht in der DLL MediaInfo.dll gefunden.

    bei MediaPortal.Player.MediaInfo.Finalize()

    Sorry that the log is in german, I don't know how to change the language for that - it is saying that the entry point MediaInfo_Delete was not found in DLL MediaInfo.dll

    Would be nice if anyone could help me, thanks in advance!

    Just as an addition, I did a forum search before and I substituted the existing MediaInfo.dll (I think it was version 0.7.10.0) by the most recent version I could find (0.7.20.0) - but that did not help...

    So, please, any ideas? :confused:

    Did you solve this? I have the exact same problem. When starting my first video, "mediaportal has stopped working" is shown for a few seconds, then video starts. I can still watch movies, so it's not a big problem, just annoying seeing that pop up when I start a movie.

    Hi,

    sorry but sometimes things are solved just by waiting long enough...I lived with this behaviour some time, then all of a sudden it was gone. Maybe a fix by Microsoft or I installed something which made it work, I don't know.

    I had it recently again when I was using Online Videos, but I did not examine because the error happened in a "non-vital" area.

    So perhaps anyone else can help you, if you post your log?

    Regards,
    Baldur
