Create folder.jpg from movie thumbnails in my video using context menu (1 Viewer)

Description of Change

This feature add a new menu item to my video's context menu as create folder.jpg from four thumbnails in the directory like the my picture.

How it works?

1. Go to My Video plugin
2. Select a movie folder with some existing movie thumbnails
3. Select the folder and press F9
4. Select the Create folder thumb from thumbnails
5. Give some feedback (also if there is no bug)

The build based on MP 1.7.0 Pre-Release.

you tested an another function. This function will create a folder.jpg if you stay on a folder and there are at least one thumbnail in the folder.

Did a re-test and it is still working fine.
Got four videos in the folder and settings are 2x2 thumbs.


What I noticed is that the thumb quality is not really good:

The quality is depend on the original thumbnails quality. I use the same method as we use in my picture.

It seems to me that I must first enter the folder and select the videos to create the video tumbnails before Create folder thumb from thumbnails works. If I just start MediaPortal, go to Videos, select a folder and run Create folder thumb from thumbnails, a folder.jpg is not created.

Question: Will it always use 4 video thumbnails to create the folder.jpg? What happens if there's more or less than 4 videos in the folder?
Will it also grab thumbnails from sub folders?

Holzi I also found the tumbnail quality to be poor. You can change thumbnail quality in MediaPortal Configuration - GUI - Thumbnails. Here's the difference between default and highest quality:

Could it be that this depends on your thumbnail settings?

I don't think so since I use the default setting of 1 column and 1 row.
