Maybe worth a try, using this on my xp install, seems to be playing everything fine.

Don't be afraid to delete mediaportal.xml if the install goes pear shaped and reconfigure

Ok, I just decided that I really should go with an installer, people are complaining around me

So there it is, the pre_alha_alpha package :
http://josznserver.co.cc/mediaportal/MediaPortal Hotseat Installer.exe

Again there has not been any testing done by myself!!! I just tested it really quick on my server and it seems to work ok.

Thx PD for the link. This is interesting. I see what I can do to integrate it into the installer.
