CrystalCenter Rebirth ? (2 Viewers)

Hi,

People that used MediaPortal before version 0.1.0.5 will perhaps know my skin called CrystalCenter.
it was replaced @ that time by BlueTwo which we all know
As I started to get bored of the mostly Blue in B2 I thought about starting to update CrystalCenter skin again.

So I hope you can give me feedback on things you like / dont like so I can make it better and more generally accepted.

It will be:
Widescreen
1360x768
Colorfull
Simple

So this is all still in the planning stages!

Many graphics are NOT made by me.
So it will be a skin made up of graphics made by me and several from the internet which I will ofcourse have permission for and these people will all be credited.

Cool, I'm really looking forward to a native widescreen skin being maintained with the releases of MP . . . . so near . . . .

I like the colourful & simple ethos, keep's it sweet :wink:

A couple of points:

Where is the preview window going to go on Home?

I'm not keen on the page titles, I don't know if it's the small capitals being used or the shadows, but I don't think they're in keeping with the rest of the displayed text. How about using the Pico font for the MediaPortal text on home and using the menu font for the other page titles (in lower case)?

Looking forward to some more screenshots!

Good points on the date and time standing in the way of the overlay.
I'll move them to a different spot.

Yeah, I am totally not happy yet with the mysic layout. It's more there to tryout the listview looks etc. It doesn't feel like a whole in that section.

yeah, I think I will stick to 1360x768.
Or you think I'd better do a diff resolution ?

The differences will prolly be minimal when scaled to other widescreen resolutions.

I`m using 1280x720 so I guess it will fit anyway.

Please keep it clean and simple.

I'd recommend 1280x768, too as a simple skin doesn't look much different on bigger displays. The other way every skin designed for larger resolutions (or no overscan) looks very bad / can't be used...

My Music is great but the music progress bar and time elapsed overlap.

BTW. I use 1280x768.

Looks great, I can very vaguely remember the skin. Hopefully it will fit ok on my tv as I really want to use it. I have problems with everything but B2 as they all go outside the overscan.
