With last few CVS builds I'm seeing high CPU cycling peaking every second (makes eg viewing TV impossible). This appears to be some SQL access. Check processexplorer views here:

http://www.topflat.charitydays.co.uk/mp/mp_cpu_sql.JPG

Graph shows CPU. I've highlighted and opened stack for offending thread.

This is a CVS build (todays 1-Mar-06) so I realise is WIP, but thought I'd document the issue here for reference/heads up. For reference my previous CVS installation 24-Feb-06 does not suffer from this.

Cheers,
BigJ.

Update:

Ok, I think for some reason MP was attempting to use off-air EPG update.
I also found that webupdate/MP don't like TV channel names with apostraphes. Eg. "Teacher's TV" and "UK Br'tIdeas".
I checked/unchecked the EPG option and resaved my config, and renamed offending channels.

Now all is back to normal.

Perhaps this will help someone else.

BigJ.
