sorry roy, youll have to speak in laymans terms. i understood the primary screen, as in my monitor, has hardware acceleration. but you lost me at btw? and M$ limitation. i understood whatever these are are causing the cpu to reder evrything on the tv, therefore slowing the system. what is btw and M$, and is there anything i can do about it, i really want to run the mediaportal on my tv and eventually through a projector. thanks for your help so far, cheer rob

    Hi,
It's a Microsoft limitation on your system, so MediaPortal can only run smooth on primary display.

    Hi,
I encoutered the same issue on my setup (dual head Radeon X1600).
Currently I use the Media Center from http://www.jrmediacenter.com/ wich does not have this issue (works perfect on second non-primary monitor). So either they are running without HW accelleration or use some other trick (not meant to be spammy). This is just a complete show stopper.
