Hmm.. If I just watch one channel with no recordings then all is fine.. Seems to be when multiple tuners are used..

Same here. The problem I think is in the TBS code. I'll look into it and upload something later in the week.

I've noticed another problem, which I suspect may be related.. Every now and then, a load of channels will disappear - it's like there are problems with the tuners every now and then and if a channel scan happens at that time then it removes some of them.. If I reboot and then do another channel grab, they all come back again!

Would this also relate to the problem you have found? I'm wondering whether to switch back to 1.2.1, but I dread the thought of having to set it all up again!

Discontinuity errors means the data stream is corrupt hence not all the data is there to be used. So there will be less channels found. The files are on the first page for 1.2.1

I do have a 6981 also - those 2 tuners have the lowest priority.

I seem to have problems with either card though I seem to remember from when I was doing all the testing.

I'll muddle through (and try to placate the missus!) until the weekend and see what the state of play is then - if no further forward then I'll bite the bullet and roll back to 1.2.1!

Wonder why others are not reporting similar issues though??

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and reinstall tonight because system is pretty much unusable at the moment..

Which files should I be using from the first page to get a 1.2.1 working install?

Also, to clarify something... I do require a normal Mediaportal install first before installing the DJBlu files? Or can I just use the DJBlu ones? Never been sure on that because I thought the DJBlu ones were just normal Mediaportal with patches added - thus negating the need for a normal bog standard install first..

Ok... baffled... I just did a clean install of 1.2.2 and then installed the files supplied by Icam2 several pages back. As far as I am aware, those files do not include the TBS code.

I still have the same or a similar problem - and it seems particularly bad on Russia Today and NHK World HD..

So now what... Also, this may just be a skin issue, but when I had the 173 files installed, it said 1.2.0 in the bottom left.. It now says 1.2.2

Dunno if any of this helps, or just muddies the waters!

Ironic that you should say that, because I suddenly thought about that today... I do use MDAPI - I use a linux server running the most famous one! When I went and looked at the server, the screen was full of error messages. I have rebooted it and so far pic looks ok.. time will tell...

The only thing about that which confused me though, was that I would get continuity errors on BBC One HD, which doesn't use MDAPI..

It's so intermittent though - just when you think it is solved, it does it again!

EDIT : Back to the drawing board.. still doing it..

I'm beginning to suspect a Windows update.. reason behind that thinking is that I updated Windows 7 with all the latest patches before I installed MP 1.2.2, and when I did the fresh install I installed all updates again..

I had a problem with BBC ONE HD and BBC HD for the longest time. I thought I had a driver issue with my Technotrend Budget S2 card or that the hardware itself was incompatible with the unusual symbol-rate for this transponder 23000 ( all the others are either 22000 or 27500 ). It turned out that my ATI graphics driver was at fault to my surprise ( didn't think that would have anything to do with it as all the other HD channels were fine ) so I did a complete uninstall of ATI graphics software including drivers, then used driver sweeper to make sure all ati files were deleted from my pc and then updated to the latest drivers. Issue resolved perfect picture : )

I'm using an Nvidia card - it could be an issue I guess, but when I did the complete Windows rebuild to try to fix the problem, I also updated to the latest Nvidia driver..

Colossus, ati pixelation problem is common and appears in many driver versions and gets fixed/broken frequently, I believe the most well known recent driver for no pixelation is version 11.4. Above 11.4 and pixelation occurs, typically bbc hd or ch4 hd get effected. 12.2 is suppose to fix but the pre release was still no good for ch4 hd for me so am sticking with 11.4

Tried older driver for TBS 6984 and still the same..

Does someone have the 1.2.1 DJBlu files? Or can point me to them on the first page, because I can't see them!!

When I updated drivers initially BBC ONE HD and BBC HD were fixed but then Channel 4 HD went bonkers. I then changed codes and that fixed the problem.

I am currently on 12.2 using just the driver without any of the catalyst software and no pixelation whatsoever on any channels.

@psykik as onelegend says different drivers versions fixes/breaks these issues so maybe experiment with older drives might have some positive effect.

Right back to the plugnin. I have two issues..

1. I loose all my DVB-T guide data ( RTE IRELAND ). Won't grab at all when I go to Manual Control and refresh EPG, card reports idle.

2. HD channels won't tune!
