Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (7 Viewers)

My TBS6981 has broken so I've upgraded to 1.4 with all the correct file etc from the first page and installed my old Hauppage Nova-S2. Now the grabber runs and does it thing fine but when I try and manually tune a channel I get a 'No Signal' error. I've restarted the service and now in manual control the tuner keeps being highlighted red as though MP is attempting to tune a channel but fails, it waits a few seconds and repeats.

If I disable the plugin and restart the tvservice everything works as expected....

To those that run TBS 6981 cards and are getting BAT/NIT errors, try downgrading your drivers. I was running the latest on my Windows Server but installed 2.0.1.5 and all the errors disappeared and grabbing works as expected.

@DJBlu also noticed that the grouping/channel selections wouldn't work on the 2.0.1.6 drivers; not sure what they've done there!

Will check through the TSWriter logs and see about the continuity errors too tonight when I get home.

I see you are using Windows Server 2008. Can you try this, clear your channels, change the Diseqc to SimpleA and scan the channels again.

Two questions if I may;

a) Is it technically possible in the current state of the mediaportal client to implement Series Remind? I wasn't able to see where MP stores the remind data for upcoming channels but would MP be able to support it like you've acheived with Series Record?

b) Did you amend the Titan skin files for the series record icon? The background channel selection disappears once set to record via series link and there is no indication that you have selected that channel unless you move to a neighbouring channel.

a) It is possible, I haven't the time to look into it. It just uses the scheduler for recordings however there is a flag that says remind not record. I can't off the top of my head remember where it is in the code.

b) I have made no changes to the skin files. Can you post a picture of what you mean please.

That's cool. Just something I thought I'd raise a future improvement when and if you feel like it

I'm just getting my server up and running so will post a screenshot from the HTPC over the weekend. Just a weird lack of texture thing going on.

I see you are using Windows Server 2008. Can you try this, clear your channels, change the Diseqc to SimpleA and scan the channels again.

after further investigation I think its either the Card or drivers at fault, I've reinstalled MP and Drivers a few times with varying degrees of success failure.

edit: thanks for the reply, is there a problem with Server 2008 I should be aware of?

@DJBlu are you using MSSQL on a multi-seat setup? I'm trying to test out MSSQL but I cannot for the life of me get my clients to connect to it! Are you able to send me your gentle.config for client/server so that I can compare if you are using MSSQL?
