    @DJBlu are you using MSSQL on a multi-seat setup? I'm trying to test out MSSQL but I cannot for the life of me get my clients to connect to it! Are you able to send me your gentle.config for client/server so that I can compare if you are using MSSQL?

    I was using MSSQL for multi-seat. Have you allowed TCP connections on the SQL server? They are disabled by default.
    Also, I disabled the Windows firewalls, as I couldn't be bothered to configure them, and I run a hardware firewall on my router anyway.

    All sorted!

    @DJBlu another question, sorry. Should the plugin automatically tick those channels that have an LCN <10000? At the moment, it appears that I may have to tick these channels and I wondered how that worked should more be added as they don't show up by default.

    EDIT: Got these errors again, index out of range etc. Logs attached, can you have a look?

    Found out the missing channels are being moved from my group to the all channels group due to not being used in this region
    Any ideas why that is happening?

    EDIT: I have unticked used sky region and its sorted it

    My TBS6981 has broken so I've upgraded to 1.4 with all the correct file etc from the first page and installed my old Hauppage Nova-S2. Now the grabber runs and does it thing fine but when I try and manually tune a channel I get a 'No Signal' error. I've restarted the service and now in manual control the tuner keeps being highlighted red as though MP is attempting to tune a channel but fails, it waits a few seconds and repeats.

    Logs attached.

    Anyone?

    I see you are using Windows Server 2008. Can you try this, clear your channels, change the Diseqc to SimpleA and scan the channels again.
    after further investigation I think its either the Card or drivers at fault, I've reinstalled MP and Drivers a few times with varying degrees of success failure.

    edit: thanks for the reply, is there a problem with Server 2008 I should be aware of?

    Not sure if this'll help but I have the same card and need to Set Modulation to "Not Set" for SD Channels.

    @DJBlu

    I've noticed these errors throughout my TVServer log:

    [2013-07-27 09:30:17,616] [Log ] [22 ] [ERROR] - Exception in TuningDetail.Persist() with Exception Error: NullPropertyUnclassified

    Running MSSQL 2012 Express, but got similar errors on MYSQL. 5.1/5.6.

    EDIT: I was looking at the continuity errors that still keep appearing, it was suggested that it might be due to a bad signal but looking slighty further up the logs tells me the strength of the signal was in 90s so it must be a write to HDD issue, surely?

    EDIT2: So re-synced my lounge client, server is currently timeshifting to HDD (7200RPM drive with 188GB free), no decryption software running and on a FTA channel and have continuity errors. See bottom of attached log... I'm using the later TSWriter you posted recently.

    A general question really, could a failing LNB be responsible for continuity errors? For example, the official sky box is showing part-rec for programs and then states in the details that it had signal issues. In TSWriter.log it shows that TVServer can get a full on signal (almost perfect) but then gets continuity errors... Would this be similar to the sky box complaining about a lack of signal? Could the continuity errors be caused by a bad signal linked to the LNB?

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Yes,

    This is the job of the LNB to reduce noise and receive the signal. If it is broken then it will affect the signal input.

    The trouble with PC cards and the TV Server is the initial signal is reported however the subsequent signal levels aren't reported.
