A fresh install is going to be cleaner and potentially have less issues, for example in the past I have needed to clear down the channels due to duplicates which has now been fixed.

What's the rationale behind using MediaPortal 1.2.0 Beta as a base, before the SVN files are applied? Will that even install on Windows 8, let alone 8.1?

What gives you the idea it is 1.2.0 Beta?

You install 1.5.0 final, and then install the SVN files over the top of that.

I think the guide on page 1 still refers to 1.2.0 beta, not the latest version.

Sorry, guys, I was being a bit dim!

So, on Windows 7 I managed to install the latest version of Custom Data Grabber running atop of MediaPortal 1.5.0 Final updated with the two SVN files in the first post. Everything seems to work fine but, irrespective of which UK TV region I choose (and deleting all channels and categories after each attempt), none of the BBC or ITV channels of any region or variation seem to be populated with EPG data.

Has anyone else suffered this problem?

any possible way i can add a broup as sky box office? also maybe have the EPG?

another thing, i dont think the grabber is recieveing all the box office channels?

I have 1.40 Sky installed, what is the simplest upgrade to the 1.5 version? (ie upgrade, instead of fresh install)?

I just threw the 1.5 files off the first page over the top of my 1.4 install and it worked a treat.

The EPG isn't available with the plugin. It is in a format that I didn't take a look at as it was for channels that you can only add via telephone.

The grabber gets the channels however will not group them as they are classed as interactive channels in the EPG.

Go into Manual Control and refresh EPG.

Run the grabber again and wait for 5-10 minutes before starting MediaPortal.

The database can take 15 minutes based on the system specs that you are using it on.
