Hi All,

I've just installed fresh on a new machine having used MP successfully on a previous media center. The TV service is working fine, as i can 'tune in' to it using the client on my previous media center, but i can't start the client - it just crashes out (i.e. gives up booting part way through) during startup.

It looks from the error log to be a problem with D3D, or D3Dapp, but i don't know how to do anything on this as my efforts so far to update direct3d haven't fixed it. Any help or advice much appreciated! (logs attached)

Thanks
Andy

Have you set MP to startup with windows, if so you may find this delay setting useful, as looks like the display driver has not loaded properly.

If not starting with windows, then not sure what the problem may be, sorry.

Thanks for the quick response - unfortunately it doesn't start with windows, so the delay doesn't seem to be the thing. Thanks for the advice on the display driver not loading properly though - i've downloaded the latest drivers for the Nvidia ION etc from Acer (only about a month old), but unfortunately this still hasn't fixed it. A bit flummoxed for now, but if i manage to solve it i'll post it up for anyone else with the problem.

    Thanks
    Andy
