Aduck and 2thor, did you try following this guide to get channel change working with the new danish channels? You also need to make sure that your mpeg2 codec is not able to decode mpeg4, or else you might get issues.
Just a short heads up for those trying to figure out why DXVA (GPU accelerated H.264) and DR1 HD shows periodic image corruption on ATI cards.
The same issue appears on other european channels like BBC HD etc.
The issue was initially confirmed in august 2009, so it's kind of old.
Hello fellow Danes with MediaPortal.
I have a working MP installation, but only using an analogue TV-card. I would like to purchase a new card with DVB-C for use on my YouSee cable.
At the moment, I only have a use for the unscrambled channels.
My HTPC is an old P4-3.0ghz with ATI 4650 graphics.
It would of course be nice to be able to watch DR HD, but my main reason for going digital would be to enjoy the clear and crisp picture.
So, which DVB-C card (PCI) should I go for? It's a jungle out there...
Do you have any recommendations?
Hi,
I'm using a card from Digital Everywhere (FloppyDTV). It's based on firewire, so you have to have such connection.
I choosed it on recommendation from other users.
The cards are out of production, but maybe you can find one on dba.dk (I did).
I bought it to view both scrambled and unscrambled channels, but maybe you can find another card (without CI) that's cheaper.
Aduck, thank you for your advice.
I would however prefer an internal PCI tuner card - and I would feel much better if it was from a vendor who still supports the product
Are there any other recommendations for a tuner-card that I can use with the DVB-C signal that YouSee provide in Denmark?
