Debug Version of TVservice.exe used in Mediaportal 1.3 require please (1 Viewer)

Can someone point me in the right direction of how I can get a debug version of TVservice.exe used in Mediaportal V1.3.0, so that one can identify what is causing the problem I am having when a recording a tv programme wont stop?

I am told of a 'GIT' branch, but not sure what this this, get the pdb files and then compile it - again, not sure what tools are needed for this (or does VS Express V10 do this as well?).

So I would appreciate assistances in this please?

You can find the sources of MP on GITHub: https://github.com/MediaPortal/MediaPortal-1

If you have that, compile as debug version. You might be easier off with contacting a dev that works on TVServer and asking for a debug build...

I'm reading this... but I agree with mbuzina. The process described by gibman in the other thread really requires you to have the code for best results... and if you have the code and you have Visual Studio then compiling debug versions of MP should be very easy. Yes, it is a bit intimidating but I encourage you to push through. It is not really so hard as you might think.
