Dedic. TV-Server - WOL problem (1 Viewer)

HI there -

got a little strange problem with my TV-Server:

it worked fantastic about 5 or 6 months ...

then - end of last week it starts with some problems which i had once a while the installing procedure ...
WOL isn't work anymore - but it did all the time ...

HW is:

Intel ATOM 330 mITX board with a DUAL-FLEX Riser-Card
1024 MB Ram
2 x 80 GB 2.5" HDD'S (system / timeshift)
1 x 500 GB 3.5" HDD (recording)

1 x PCI DUAL DVB-S PCTV (Pinacle 4000i)
1 x PCI TechnoTrend DVB-S2 3200
1 x USB S7 (Terratec USB S2 box)
1 x USB MSI - DVB-T Stick

SW:

WIN XP SP3
MePo 1.0.2 stable

So - when i start my HTPC in the living room - the
dedicated TV-Server got a PING signal and also woke up.
a few days ago things change - and the server did't react on the ping signal.

so while i isntalled all i had the same problem -
i took a few days till i found out that the DVB-S cards also have a
LAN-Card implemented (e.g. for SKY-DSL)

so if there was more than ONE LAN card in the system
the system does not listen to magic-packet or ping.

after putting away the dual riser card with its two PCI DVB-cards
- system listen and start on PING/Magic packet again.
last time i had that problem i installed the driver again
and the problem was solved.

now the problem is back - and the installing of the driver again -
didn't brought the thing to work back again ...

maybe there is a way to bring all the MAC-Adresses hard to IP-Adresses
so the system wil listen with all cards - and react with the right one for the WOL-order.
i also tried MAGIC-Packet-sender - thats a freeware tool
which act on MAC-Adresses - nothing

only thing i changed in the last few weeks -
after WIN had writing-problems on
HDD e:\ i took it out of the system
i put in a new one yesterday -
no changes - the PC don't start again @ WOL


i hope u understand WHAT i mean - couse my technical-english is still bad.



the problems brings a real bad WAF ...
so i need that machine again running ...

changed my system @ home

TV-Server

Gigabyte N720-US3 MoBo with AM2+ CPU
WIN XP Pro SP3
1 GB Ram
2 x 80 Gig HDD 2.5"

PCTV 4000i DVB-S2 DUAL
TV@nywhere MSI DVB-S2

lots of HDD's (all together bit more than 7 Terra-Byte)

MediaPortal 1.0.2 Stable (no SVN)
just put in the changed DLL for Network-monitoring @ power-scheduler...
- and i think it works fine ...
MPStandbyhandler
suspend --- nothing
resume --- 1. stopp TV-Service 2. start-TV-Service


TV Server plugin Power Scheduler is ON
after 20 minutes idle ----> suspend (standby)

WinXP Energy-Options:
shut-down HDD's not needed/not in use after 15 minutes
(couse 9 HDD's need lot of power consu.)


all clients (no suspend - allways power OFF)
have a little batch file in the Autostart-folder ...
if a client start -
an automatic PING to the server is started,
and the server wakes up.

PROBLEM:

sometimes the server suspend (standby)
sometimes it does not suspend ...
(power off i think - couse a direct new ping does not wake up the machine)
(and if it is hibernate - also a ping would be enought to start the server)

i can start the server by pushing the power-button.... and it works... (but WAF = 0%)


makes me wonder why it sometimes suspend and sometimes NOT ...

LAN-Card ist configured to WAKE up system.
BIOS ---> WOL is on

Any ideas ????

is thee a way to find out if there is hardware conflict?

hardwaremanager says - everything is allright

but i think that the pci-sata controller does not feel well with the onboard lan...
