I am using the exact default settings for timeshifting.

Questions:
1. Why, as default, does MP want to use multiple files for shifting? Why not a clean simple 1 file??
2. I only have 1 tuner.. so why the multiple *.tsbuffer's?

    1. Performance
    2. Easier roll-over handling for clients (progress, etc)
    3. Easier to implement a ring buffer
    4. Frodo forgot

Feel free to submit a design proposal for a FILO buffer using only 1 file per client, per action :)
