default tv playback aspect radio (1 Viewer)

I've switched to using MediaPortal 1.16 pre from MediaPortal 2.1

Most things are working great, but I can't seem to set the default aspect ratio to 'Normal'. When I tune in a signal that is less thatn 1080p, the aspect ratio seems to jump to 'oom'. This results in cropped content. Normal looks much better. Per the settings, Normal is my selected Default.

Is something overriding this to Zoom? If so, how can I force it to stay on Normal?

Perhaps. Without log files we can't be sure, but if you've enabled the ViewModeSwitcher plugin, that would override in certain cases.

Hi, yes, that appears to be the issue.

ViewMode Switcher - MediaPortal 1 - MediaPortal Wiki

I don't recall enabling that plugin during my installed. However, disabling it got me back to what I wanted.

That plugin seems super useful, I'll have to experiment with it to see if I like how it works with my particular TV signal sources.
