The external player (MPC-HC) loads fine for the movingpictures plugin, but will not load for any files located in video database. This is only a temp fix. Ultimately I would love to use the MP built-in player, but it has so many issues both in audio and video, I don't know have the time to log and report all the problems. For now I want to use MPC-HC for files located in the video database. How can I force MP to use my external player for Videos? Note the player is programmed and checked for external player in the options menu. Works only in moving pictures.

I would like to add a note to my first post, Great job for this wonderful program. I want to provide support and help make this a great media player. For the time being, I'm just looking for the functionality I can achieve using external player.

I found a work around. This required reinstalling MP 1.2 beta. Afterwards, the external player would start up. However, there is still an issue with selecting or deselecting the external player. Now I tried to enable the internal player and it's stuck on external player. Deleting cache file did not help.
