After playing with DWHD a bit ... It looks GREAT on the PC display (although anything more than 10 lines for the Guide or lists begins to look 'too much' to me.)

    But ...

Honestly, I'm afraid I can't use it, as is, for my TV viewing arrangement. I have a 66" OLED situated 12 feet from my couch, in a 12'W X 16'L X 8'H living-room (contiguous with a 10'W X 12'L X 8'H Kitchen open-plan) arranged for listening to HiFi audio. The font used is too small to read at a glance. (My wife agrees.) The Record and Record-Series icons in the guide are almost undiscernible (we prefer the red dot(s) from earlier versions)

I'm, instead, using my "OldEyesWideHD" mod for 1.36 (with 8 lines in the Guide) in 1.37 - until I can tweak all the lists and buttons, to make it pretty. I changed the font to "OpenSans" and increased each font-height by 5 (I realize I may have to make adjustments for specific screens).

Please post when the new "OldEyesWideHD" is ready.

I'm working on it. I'm finding other elements of the new DWHD that I'm having to adjust for clarity (including text colors), it is a little more challenging, in that arrangement of elements in the new xmls has changed a bit from the older version. I'm looking at making more defines for color names, rather than using hex, as some already exist. And I will be making more font sizes to reflect the OldEyes readability, but keep the original font integrity.

How do you feel about relocating the "BasicHome Editor" button (BH menu button editor) from the Settings|Skin screen to the Settings|GUI|General screen, below the "Home screen:" selection? Display as a standard button (instead as a checkbox button) to go to the BH menu editor screen, then return using the usual "Back" function. I personally think it is more appropriate to put it there, as it is a part of the BasicHome GUI style, rather than a Skin selection.

Therefore I would have to do a lot of changes in the different screens ;) Furthermore, it belongs to Skin GUI because there you configure the layout of the BasicHome buttons and not GUI general options ;)
Furthermore it has to be a checkbutton because when "closing" the BH Editor, the changes are correctly saved in the SkinSettings.xml, which could be erratic when just "returning" to previous screen ;)

Thankyou for the explanation, as I wasn't sure of the whole series of events. I'll look at my code again, maybe I'm missing something (no surprise).
