    @Sebastiii

Sorry to call you in (hope you're involved in MP1, haven't quite figured out my head around the roles in the Dev Team yet :))

Does the 'delay from Standby' actually work in 1.5? I'm having trouble with multiseat setup and UNC paths not connecting when coming out of standby. I was expecting delay resume from standy (x seconds) to assist with not resuming MP until everything was ready but certainly it just loads straight up.

Using the same time on delay at startup actually does the countdown.

Another question; does MP Client 'ping' the shares in a multiseat environment when running UNC to check their connected to windows? If not, I might suggest this as this could assist those using UNC on multiseat...

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I know that i rework a part related to WOL where we can set a delay there, but i don't know if it's the same as 'delay from Standby' and i don't know if it' works on 1.5.

I have read some post about start MP with 'Task Scheduler' to create this famous delay to avoid Direct3D error but i think it's not that you want.
There is also a testing feature to WOL Server / NAS when going to MyMusic/MyVideo/MyPicture that could improve network share.

    I think i didn't answer your question because i didn't have a really good answer :)

    Seb.

    Hi Seb,

No this relates to a function 'Delay x seconds on MP Resume'. See attached screenshot.

I just cannot get it to work at all. The other option, on startup works perfectly but on resume doesn't.

The ability to reset the client on resume was perfect until it was removed as it allowed the client to reconnect to the UNC paths as windows would have had time to reconnect them.

It's frustrating as UNC is the best playback method but I get caught by this quite a lot (bad WAF); RTSP is great but slow (slightly better WAF).

Ideally if the client could ping the shares to ensure their up before allow the client to continue loading would be fantastic as that would probably resolve the connectivity issues.

    Does this now make sense?

I'll get the logs from the client this evening, I'm not entirely sure what they'll show... Is it possible to collect logs from a resuming client? Does watchdog kick out at sleep or would it carry over until you shut the client down?
