delete episode always fails (1 Viewer)

A generic error message (something like "Could not delete file {0}") is displayed, but no reason is given for the failure. Having looked at the code (DBEpisode.cs, I think it was) I suspect that the message is being emitted without having actually tried to delete the file, as it first tries to lock the file. I fear that the problem may be due to the fact that I use BeyondTV as my recording engine and only watch episodes in the (much nicer!) MP TV-Series. BeyondTV locks the directory hierarchy and I wonder if that's what's causing the delete message. I can delete the file manually (e.g. using windows explorer), but obviously that is tedious and difficult to remember to do at a later time. I'd also swear that I used to be able to successfully delete files from the GUI. Then it seemed I encountered an occasional failure, but now it fails consistently, every time I try to delete an episode I just watched.

I'll throw my hat in this as well. While I have BTV also, I've disabled it, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Yes I've enabled the option to delete from the GUI. I use the "0, 3" & "0, 1" only to have an error message "Unable to delete file: xyz".

Files are .avi.

I saw a trick that mentioned trying to deleting an episode only after it's been watched. That didn't work.

I can find no way to delete an episode, and it's driving me insane. Anyone have any tips?

Like a moron. After trying everything except the actual solution, I find the solution.

All my files are "read only". I removed that from the file, and whoosh, file deleted.

Always the last thing you try after posting about trying everything.

Now. Anyone know why SABnzbd is making those files read-only?

The issue was that the directory I kept all the files in was Read Only. I changed it, and the problem/issue went away.
