Deleting files and artists from music db (1 Viewer)

Hi folks,

I recently deleted all the mp3's I had for a particular artist (bit of a cleanup) and then reran the the database parser/builder.
I was expecting the db to notice that the files were no longer there and remove entries for that artist.

However, when viewing by album artist, there is still an entry there, and the mp3's underneath are shown - they fail to play of course, because they are deleted.

Is this expected? How do you get the database to realize you have deleted those files?

They should have been detected as missing and should have been removed from the DB.
Need to run a few tests to be sure, but won't be able to do that this year.

Hmmm, so this works for other files/artists... there are couple that seem just stuck in the db, and they won't delete.
