Was watching a active recording, then stoped and wanted to delete it. MP hangs, and only a ctrl-alt-del would get me back to the system.

Only had a quick look but there appears to be a catastrophic failure connecting to the TV server at around 2011-09-21 22:51:12 then again at 2011-09-21 22:54:47 (did you manually stop TV service ???)
    Code:
OnMessage exception:System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.1.111:31456

Are you using any firewall / av software? Is this working now??

    also you have
    Code:
    2011-09-21 22:54:22.961073 [(17)]: DeleteRecordingOnDisk: '\\FREENAS\Recordings\Ufo Uk - National Geo - 2011-09-21.ts'
    2011-09-21 22:54:22.968073 [(17)]: - deleting '\\FREENAS\Recordings\Ufo Uk - National Geo - 2011-09-21.xml'
    2011-09-21 22:54:22.976073 [(17)]: - deleting '\\FREENAS\Recordings\Ufo Uk - National Geo - 2011-09-21.ts'
so presumably your recordings are stored on your NAS not on the same machine as TV server? Is it possible there was a problem with network connectivity to your NAS?

Firewall: What comes with W7 and re-configured when MP gets installed.
    AV: Microsoft Security Ess.

Yes the recordings are stored on my nas box. As posted in another thread, I can access the internet, browse the network, and access the maped drive for the recordings. (UNC names are used within MP).

We can be watching TV and then all of a sudden the connection to the tv server gets lost/droped. Timeshifting is being stored on the local HD (80Gb hd, with 57gb free).

Another set of logs attached. This time was watching a recording from the start, with a 5min pre-record. Fast forward to the actual program wanted. Watched a bit, and went to delete it, causing mp to stop the recording and then MP hangs. (have done this process in previous versions 1.1.3) MP will just sit there not responding to remote controll, and some times get a black screen. I have to ctrl-alt-del to end the task to get back to a working machine.

If I start tv server config, it reports that the server isn't running and should it be started. (Answering yes).

The tvservice crash appears to happen around the time ComSkip is attempted to be launched (and fails). Can you try disabling ComSkipLauncher and see if it makes nay difference?

Also your cards seem to be set to "Pause graph" which may cause issues. Can you try setting them to "Stop graph"?
(See: TV Servers - MediaPortal Wiki / When card enters idle state do the following)

I 100% concur - that's also what I recommended in the other thread that was raised -->here<--. These issues could be connected.

    HI,

Comskip has been disabled, and the tv cards (all of them) have been set to "stop".. So far these problems have gone, and the system has been stable.

I now see that there's 1.2.1 with the stop settings changed, so will upgrade to that and see how things go as well..

I have an issue with deamon tools and iso images of dvd's, but that will have to wait till i'm back home in day or two. (Mp crashes on exiting/stoping the playing of the iso).

    Thanks guys.
