Thank you all for your help. I might as well wait til the RC is released then...

I understand Beta's usually contain errors, as an early adopter for many things I run into Beta software often, just never had one that wouldn't install at all. I am however running this on an older outdated system as a test before I decide if I want MP to replace my Sagetv HTPC.

Thanks again guys, if I get impatient I can try that modified installer.

PS, it's refreshing to see an active community that's willing to assist so quickly.

Just installed 1.2.0RC on my client PC where 1.2.0 beta had failed, and now the installation went fine.
