Yes i agree, it's not an easy method, but i thought it might be interesting for more advanced users.
Has anybody tried converting the pictures to bootscreens yet?
I tried it but windows allows only 16 indexed colors in the bootscreen so they didn't look very good

Try this one: 640x480, 16 colors, set the progress bar to bottom and make TuneUp suggest background color. Foreground = white (the image seems a bit too bright, but ones loaded as bootscreen it becomes slightly darker)
