Hi Due to the on-going problems with the radio times feed, I've been trying to switch to use digiguide as a data source, this seems to work fine for five us and a few other channels but for some reason all I get for channel 5 is a message in the log saying no data available....

Is anyone else using digiguide to get channel five listing? Did you have to change anything other than simply setting up the feed source?

The Digiguide site linked from the web EPG grabber seems to be some sort of test / trial area and I had all sorts of bother with it (largely because I don't think the site is meant as a listing service; try browsing to the URL in the webepg config files)

I ended up paying for Digiguide and then using XMLTVgui to create and xml file to load into MP. This works a treat and gives me 14 days+ worth of good quality guide across Freeview and Freesat

Ah that would explain the rather odd results I've been seeing! For the moment I've given up on WebEPG and have switched to using the Sky epg data as grabbed by the modified tswriter. This along with the series link feature seems to be working pretty well so far!

Hi gloomyandy,

I've been using Digiguide for a long time and don't have any problems, I have attached my latest grabbing file that needs to be installed at (always make a backup first): -

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\WebEPG\grabbers\GB
Or equivalent.

Please note I have modified the grabber to grab Season and Episode information, also it only grabs 10 days (this is a limitation of the grabber because the address needs hex to display day 11 to 14) and has been updated to include Nick and Eden HD.

Also note that I do not use the channels file, this means that you will see all the channel names with a .com.

I use Digiguide because it gives the Season and Episode information which I didn't get with the Sky epg data.

I am very happy with it now that the radiotimes grabber wont't work anymore.

I'm glad it works for you, do you use MP 1.1.0 or above?
If yes, are the Season and Episode numbers the corret way round?

The reason why I ask is because 1.0.2 imported the information the wrong way round, and I use 4therecord and cannot check (without changing the setup).

Also I forgot to meantion that I added a delay between each page grab, this is to stop Digiguide from banning your IP.
