    You can watch dvb-s2 channels with that card?
    Now that is interesting. because then they just use the hardware and drivers of an other comany (Techotrend i.e.) and put a new sticker on it!
    That is not even uncommon (Just think about Hauppauge's and Technisats past.... :p )

    Do you have DiSEqC Motor? Is it working fine with DiSEqC Motor?
    Which phoenix reader do you use?

    No, I don't have a motor but I know it works with Tevii's tuners!

    This review will surely convince you. Since this review, there's been several
    firmware updates which offered even more improvements and stability.
    Tevii has since then made a phoenix reader ( the one I use ) along with new
    even better models!
    Two tuners and a reader and still below 200 euros :D

    @infinityloop
    I can watch all CD's HD-channels here in Scandinavia with Tevii's tuners.
    It's a pity though, those readers are not supported directly in MP.
    There's absolutely no piracy on my behalf!
    If they'll stop making cars......
    people wouldn't be able to break the law with them.........

    All respect to all involved in this project! MP is truly one of a kind

    Can I watch scrambled channels with this card?

    Is Anysee DVB-Cards good product?

    example: ::: anysee E30PS2 Plus :::

    And why is this card not supported? TV-Server/tvcards - MediaPortal Manual Documentation
    You can watch dvb-s channels with that card
    You can NOT watch dvb-s2 channels with that card!
    Reasons are:
    • noone from the team owns such a card (hence why we have no clue if that card is worth anything)
    • noone from the team has the required sdk to be able to add dvb-s2 tuning subbort to Tv-Server (has to be coded seperatelly since its not part of BDA specs)

    Support for dvb-s2 and CI have to be coded by our developers since these are not part of the BDA driver spec and every manufacturer decided to create "his own solution".

    See TV-Card list about "Special Features Support" to find cards where we support dvb-s2 and CI.

    If the card you are talking about is simply a Hauppauge or Technotrend card with the sticker of that company on top, then dvb-s and CU _could_ work.
    But since noone of the team has such a card, we do not know for sure.

    Thanks for the hint, Chris!

    I've been looking at the NOVA-S2-HD and it looks quite perfect. However, I've realised that I can get the HVR-4000 for the same price, which would seem to be a better deal. It it just as compatible with MP, and will both tuners work? Also, I've read in another thread that you can't actually use the DVB-S2 and DVB-T tuners at the same time with this card. Can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks.
