I would like to be able to go directly to the Scheduled recordings window without having to first go to the home menu.
I saw this post:
How to access Scheduled Recordings without going through TV Home screen
but when I go to map a button on my remote to provide this function I can't find the "Recording Schedule" Window as an option in the Remotes and Input Devices Mapping window.
I have managed to get it to work by manually editing the cmdproperty for button code I am using for this function in the xml file of the Profile I have selected in the Remotes and Input Devices window.
When I then look at the button function using the Remotes and Input Devices Mapping window the command is shown as blank:
I am concerned that the change that I manually made to the profile xml file might be deleted if I make other changes to the profile using the Remotes and Input Devices Mapping window.

Instead of just having a drop down list of available windows would it be possible for Remotes and Input Devices Mapping window to have the ability to manually set the id of the window to be displayed?

Alternatively, why is the window I want to display not available in the drop down list?

As I'm using ArgusTV the window I am displaying is the ARGUS_UpcomingTv.xml file found in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Titan.

thanks,
Michael

It is present, but not with that name. It is called Scheduler, viz:

Interesting. I had never noticed that when the "command" is "ACTION", the "cmdproperty" is the actual window id, but it makes sense that it is.

I am concerned that the change that I manually made to the profile xml file might be deleted if I make other changes to the profile using the Remotes and Input Devices Mapping window.
Try this for yourself. First backup your working profile for the remote, then in the "Mapping" panel make a change to some other button and save the changes. Exit "MP Config" and check your "Scheduler" button to see if the manually-edited value is retained.

Instead of just having a drop down list of available windows would it be possible for Remotes and Input Devices Mapping window to have the ability to manually set the id of the window to be displayed?
Yes, it would be possible. The problem is that the development team is now so small that it is unlikely that this change would be made anytime soon. :(
