DirecTV tuning (3 Viewers)

I can't find anything in the wiki about tuning DirecTV receivers. I have found very old references in the forum about using tools for other PVR apps, but hopefully that is outdated info.

I am trying to migrate from BeyondTV.

DirecTV receivers: H23-600
Current tuning method: Serial to USB
Video Capture: HD-PVR
OS: Windows 7 Home

The receivers have ethernet ports but I have no idea if they work.

What is the best way to tune these receivers?

I could be wrong (and this comment doesn't necessarily only relate to DirecTV), but I think many people are using IRSS (http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/IRServerSuite) with either an IR blaster or external application to control the STB over whatever protocol is available.
For guide data and channel loading I think people are using SchedulesDirect (http://www.schedulesdirect.org/). Alternatively you can load channels using SchedulesDirect then switch to mc2xml (http://mc2xml.hosterbox.net/) when the trial runs out.

(note that you don't have to add the channels as described there if you use SchedulesDirect)

Just got power back (I'm in central Virginia) and was able to tinker with this some.

That SHEF plugin worked perfectly! Thanks for the help!
