Is it possible to disable, or limit size of tsreader.log(re-use) ??

It seems that when, continuity errors start filling log, mp hangs totally. This morning mine was over 100 Mb.
Every time Mp tries to fill new log entry, it has to seek to the end of file. If these appear 2-3 time /sec and allways seeking to the end of file, there is a possibility to totally hang the system. This is probably not by desing :).

It is not possible currently to turn of the logging of TsReader.

As a side note, I would assume that with such huge discontinuity error amount the tv itself is already unusable :p

    actually no, it's not...

if i stop and then start tv, or change channel to another and then back it's okay again.
There is just some byte somewhere that tsreader does not like at all.
    :D

    regards,

TsReader is most likely not to blame (as it is just detecting the discontinuities), but instead TsWriter, BDA drivers or TVE3 tuning code. Or even the HW itself fails to tune properly.

    Okay, thanks.

I belive you. Well, I can't be sure but still in the end when log increases a bit too big, it might have side effects.

I just try to compile it without logging.

I do not want to disable the log completely, but just the creation of the log for every day. Now it makes a new log every day: TsReader-2013-01-20.Log
I just want one log, 'TsReader.Log'

    How is this possible?

    btw, same for TsWriter
