Is it possible to configure MP so that it doesn't add an entry to the database automatically when a file is played?

I have a considerable ammount of full albums. I'm using folder structure "MP3/Artist/Album/Tracks.mp3" and these files are, of course, properly tagged and added into the database. Normally I use mymusic section in database mode.

I would also like to have an additional folder, where i could add some random songs. These songs are not always even properly tagged, and i don't wish to tag them all, because i probably don't end up keeping them/getting the full album. Therefore, i don't want them to be added into the database and get mixed up up with "perfect" albums.

I have this "dump" folder added as a music folder and it's located outside the folder structure mentioned above. I uncheck this dump folder when i organize my database, and i also choose not to update the changes in share automatically. After i start MP everything is fine and my database only has the full albums. Then I switch into shares mode and enter the "dump" folder and play some files; the files get added into the database.

So is there some solution to this problem?

Sorry about that.

I do have to say though that in terms of forum structure, this forum is without a doubt the most confusing one i've ever seen.

So i Assume that this is not possible. I will probably have to set up an external player for my misc files.

E: Shit, i'm blind. the option is on the very first music-config page.
