    Hi,
I'm using RC2 on Vista and every once in a while, entering keyboard shortcuts (like 'h' for home or 'p' for play) using the remote just enters the letter into a type down for the current view rather than executing the desired action. I haven't yet figured out what puts Media Portal into 'type down' mode rather than command mode and vice versa but hoping someone here can help me out.

    Thanks,

    Spoon.

Check if Caps Lock isn't on. This causes the exact problem you described.
I often get this problem when I accidently leave Caps Lock on after using Windows outside of MP because my wireless keyboard has no LED for Caps Lock status.
