Discovery HD problem, + 5minutes glitch (1 Viewer)

All SD channels run fine. Almost all HD channels run fine, exept discovery HD.
the first 2 minutes the image jumps from frame to frame. After 2 minutes the image glitches a few times and then the
channel runs fine.

i know that Discovery HD is the only one running 1080i.

Next annoying thing is on all channels, after 5-6 minutes the image freezes for 1 second and then plays fine again.
This only happens once, after this glitch in runs fine for hours.
If i swap to a different channel than again after 5 minutes the image freezes for 1 second. and so on.......

things I tried:

- Re-install windows 7.
- run all updates and use all latest driver/software versions.
- use dynamic frame rate,
- tried EVR and VMR9,
- disable aero,
- disable minidisplay,
- put process priority on high

any suggestions?

You can try other codecs (mpc for mpeg2, coreavc or mpc for mpeg4 runs fine here)
Be shure that yuo turned back on evr and aero.

i have the same problem. I tried everything... Codecs/fresh install...Bought a new GPU card/coreavc

All other channels running good sd/hd!

With coreavc 2.0 its running smooth, but on 25fps.. So we miss some smoothness...
With the win7 codecs you get some hickups every 2 sec.
With PDVD10 you get a few sec till a minute heavy hickups and then its running smooth

With vmr9 its all running smooth, but on win7 you get other probs.

I'm confused.... Do not know what to do

Hi guys and gals!

This is my first post so be gentle... Also I'm new to using MediaPortal...

Has anyone found a solution for this? I find that using the "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder" codec works, but then Discovery Channel micro glitches every half second or so. Using "Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder" or the "CyberLink Video Decoder (PDVD10)" works as described by OP, so glitches for the first couple of minutes, after that it works perfectly.

I have exactly the same... For ages now... DTV-DVD glitches every second or 2.. PDVD09 glitches for the first 30 secs and then oke...
No solution now
