How do you configure the EPG to retrieve channels for Dish Network? I have a Dish Network 311 STB which is attached to my Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1800 via S-Video cable and RCA audio cables. I also use an MCE 2005 remote and sensor.

I searched and found two similar questions but they had no replies to them.

Now I have the S-Video channel set up and I can watch TV just fine. SVHS is the only channel on my list. Do I need to add EVERY CHANNEL MANUALLY to the list of channels?

See my reply to your zap2xml query. Schedulesdirect.org + schedules direct plugin = U.S. EPG.

You set up your preferred channels on the sch dir web site, you use the option in the plugin to "automatically add channels" (making sure you have it add to SVHS input) and it takes care of itself.

I suggest the IR Server Suite MP plug. This will do the settop box IR blasting, and has the Dish Network receivers in the preconfigured list.

Net result: guide data for Dish network, and selecting a channel tunes the STB for you.

It would be nice if there were some completely free options to do this instead of paying member dues to an EPG service.
