Hi,

I have a very quirky problem that I need some advice with.
I am using MP1.2.3.0 and it seems to be a new issue.
Here's a few of the observations I have noticed:
- The problem only seems to occur at night - watching TV in the mornings has never had an issue.
- The problem is that the screen goes black while watching Live TV only (Recorded TV and Movies are fine).
- For some strange reason it seems to occur more often when watching the TV Show "The Good Wife". I have no idea why this is the case, except I do notice this show generally is a lot "darker" visually than other shows.
- When the screen goes black the audio plays perfectly.
- I can wake it easily by pressing a button on the remote.

Any ideas on this one would be greatly appreciated.

FYI - I managed to log the issue happening once tonight - attached is the log - it happened within the first 10 minutes of logging.

Cheers - Scott

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this.
I have had a look in the logs, and I found the following in the MediaPortal.Log file:

"2012-11-28 21:42:53.155547 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: fullscreentv:show gui
2012-11-28 21:42:53.158548 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: Windowmanager: Goto previous window
2012-11-28 21:42:53.158548 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: TvFullScreen:deinit->OSD:Off
2012-11-28 21:42:53.159548 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: Window: TvPlugin.TvFullScreen deinit
2012-11-28 21:42:53.160548 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: TextureManager: CleanupThumbs()
2012-11-28 21:42:53.203550 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: [WIFI_REMOTE] Sending dialog open to clients
2012-11-28 21:42:53.206550 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: DialogWindow: TvPlugin.TVGuide init
2012-11-28 21:43:13.498711 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: TVHome.ViewChannelAndCheck(): View channel=Nine Digital
2012-11-28 21:43:13.541713 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: TvHome.RenderBlackImage()"

This happened 14 minutes into the log file so potentially this is the time the issue happened.
So the issue definitely happened after 21:30 (rather than 18:57).

Does this give any clues to the issue?

Cheers - Scott
