TheTVDB.com is a GREAT site, mad props go to it's creators! THANKS GUYS!

But... and you knew this was coming, it doesn't have everything. Some of the shows/documentaries I watch aren't on there, I'd like to be able to view these without having to leave TVSeries (many thanks to whoever created this also! Great Plugin!).

Maybe an Unsorted or "Not in Database" category could be added, instead of these shows simply being invisible inside of TVSeries?

I'd be happy to assist the people at thetvdb.com with adding content if they'd like, but TVSeries still needs this option.

Many thanks.

Another option would be to sign up to the TVDB site and add the shows there .. then people could have access to them too.

I have a lot of standalone documentaries etc, and adding stuff like that to thetvdb.com is really pointless. I would also like a 'misc' or 'non-categorized' section of tv-series plugin. For now I have to add the series folder in my videos and browse to misc things the plugin wont display.

I wouldn't think it'd be hard to add. And while it's great for people to add more content to thetvdb, which i've already done today for some of the content I wanted included, it shouldn't be necessary to do so just so that it will display in the TVSeries plugin.

edit: also, one might argue that it'd be even more encouragement to add the content to thetvdb if you really wanted to get everything out of the misc/unsorted category. Out of sight, out of mind. The only way you can see what's not being displayed is going deep inside the TVSeries config.

I would also like this feature - I have a number of shows with Specials that are not tied to any particular season (Christmas Specials for example where no season was aired....it happens on British TV a lot)

It would be great to manually add these into the Configuration section somehow, or at the very least have a Misc category as already mentioned (My first preference would be to update the database manually).

For the ones that are already in thetvdb though, how should I name the file?? xxx.special.01 or something else??

Many thanks

If you prefer the manual route, just make an account real quick on thetvdb and add the special to the show. that way everyone can benefit from it. That's what I've been doing lately.

Specials need to be S00Exx. The Season 00 denoting that it's a special episode, and xx for the number of the special.

First off, I love the plugin and think that it should be in the core. Kudos to Inker for all the work.

For what it's worth, I also would like an easy way to manually input information and enter my own pics as well as a way to move stuff from one series to another (when the import doesn't find a match and adds it in anyway). Reason being is I record a lot of History Channel and other stuff that is not a series and would not do to input into thetvdb.com as it is for series. It would make things even better.

I have alot of Discovery Channel documentaries and want to view them under the "Discovery Channel Documentaries" section in My TVSeries but the episodes aren't on thetvdb.com and it will take to long to add them all manually there.

I want to be able to select a folder and say all the videos in this folder are "Discovery Channel Documentaries". I dont care about there being no info about the episode i just want to be able to watch them from My TVSeries.

Is there anything that will let me do this ?

(Posted this onto XBMC's forum. Thankfully you guys already had a related thread.)

Please read the thread on my forums for more information:

Basically I want to start planning to handle shows like the ones shown on The History Channel, where they don't fit with a series and yet they don't fit under movies. For those of you with shows like this in your library, please help out by giving me some concept of how you're currently handling them and look through my questions to see if there's anything else you can suggest.

Thanks in advance.
