The episode thumbnail window in MP-TVSeries has a 16:9 frame, so when a thumbnail is 4:3 it just gets stretched to fill the window. Is there any way to get MP-TVSeries to display 4:3 thumbnails in the correct aspect ratio, either by changing the frame or by adding pillarboxes?

Just to clarify, I'm using a 16:9 TV and have some series that are 16:9, so I don't want to just do a global change of the aspect ratio. I want to be able to do it on a series by series basis.

yes u can use
<keepaspectratio>true</keepaspectratio>
to keep the original aspect, but the image will be left-aligned so I usually zoom it in to fill the whole 16:9 place for the thumb:
<zoom>true</zoom>

That sounds like a good solution. Where do I type this in?

Oh, thought you knew..

It's TVSeries.xml in the skin you are using. In it search for "episode thumbnail" or something like that and you'll find the <control> where you can put keepaspect and zoom in.
