    Hello everyone,

Just got MPExtended setup and can access it via my web browser over my LAN, however when I try to play a show I get the following image and no video plays. Do I need to install a plugin for my Chrome browser?

    Thanks

All depends on your config, but I would guess you have set it up to use Flash as the video type. Install Flash. You can change to direct, and see if it plays without a plugin

It depends on the video source. Not every browser can play every video.

But I have similar problem. I have standard video, mp4, which can be played in broser with html5 support. But MPExtended web do not play it. I do not know why.
if I use flash, video start playing, I have plugin in browser, but the server use 25% of procesor time only for one video.
I want to use direct possibility, but it do not function.
What exactly means direct ? Is there any possibility how to setup MPE to use correct html5 syntax as output ?

That looks like Chrome, the NPAPI plugin that VLC uses will no longer work in the current versions of Chrome
