I only use MP for recording of DTV via the EPG from the broadcasters and to watch live DTV. I do not use it to access the recordings or music or DVDs or Pictures.

I do not use mySQL for anything else. Can I uninstall mySQL via Control Panel\ Add or Remove programs but retain the limited functionality I need for MP?

(I do appreciate the completeness of the features of MP, but continue to use other software with which I became familiar before MP)
