I guess you mean the number of votes for the rating on IMDb? This is stored in the "popularity" field in the database. It has always been possible to display this on the skin and beginning with version 1.1 you can also setup categories and/or filters using the field. The popularity field has never really been included on many skins though because it means different things for different sites. "Votes" is a common interpretation of this field but it could be any metric on any scale so long as the value indicates relative popularity. So it is great for comparative purposes like the auto approval process or category creation, but less meaningful for skin display.

yes that is indeed what I did in that ticket. It may already be working without updating those plugins because most of it was not relevant to the plugin itself (test, some leftover unused parts etc).
