Does MP have support for windows 8 (1 Viewer)

I think I have ask about it before and someone say no, not yet.

But I can´t find where I ask so I ask again.

Does MP have support for windows 8 and if it any benefit to run windows 8 instead of windows 7

I was thinking about upgrade but I don´t know if I going to run win7 or win8

Going to have to watch and recording TV.

in MP 1.3 Beta is some Win 8 support, but not full support, not officially. There is no real benefit to running win 8 over win 7. AFAIK Win 8 leaves out some video codec stuff that will require the addition of a 3rd party player. the modern GUI of win 8 is not required.

You might have to deselect LAV filters to install on win 8 (I did).

Yeah it works, some people have issues some people don't. It's not officially supported or recommended yet, but there is a plan to eventually fully support Win8 and drop WinXP. The advantage of Win8 is faster resume from S3 Sleep, other than that Win7 is probably better for MP given it's official supported and guaranteed compatability.

I'd recommend you install Win 7
