Does the Streamzap receiver work with MCE controller? (1 Viewer)

I have looked everwhere and I'm about to rip my hair out. I read that LM Remote Keymap could somehow intercept signals from any controller and translate them to whatever Streamzap wants but I cannot find any way of doing this. I read about HIP and Eventghost but their website seems to be down, at the moment.

Is this something's that's even doable or am I just better off dumping that Streamzap and getting a new MCE receiver (the one that came with my controller doesn't work)?

For years I used a Streamzap receiver using EventGhost, initially with the Streamzap remote itself then subsequently with a Harmony 525.

EventGhost has both a MediaPortal plugin (need to have messaging process plugin enabled) ,and native support for MCE remotes. Is this what you were after?

Thank you so much for you reply, druid9. I guess the more specific question is this: Can my brand new Streamzap receiver with current 3.0 drivers work with an MCE remote? Because no matter what I use, it seems like the receiver doesn't send the MCE remote signal to any program.

I would downloand and install Eventghost.

You need to disable the Streamzap software itself for it to work, but once you have installed the Evenghost Streamzap plugin you will be able to see in the Eventghost configuration screen the key presses being received from the remote. SurferMC has recently replied to a similar question, and gave a pretty good step by step guide, maybe search the forums for it.

As druid9 say take a look at the other thread. Getting it all working is thanks to druid9's config file. It was a great starter in getting Eventghost configured.

I've manage to get the Streamzap receiver working with my NevoSL. The NevoSL is emulating the Streamzap remote. I'm investigating now what other remotes the Streamzap receiver will work with.
