I've just finished doing a QAM scan (North America, cable provider) using my Hauppauge WinTV HVR-2250 card and I have about 700 unknown channels. From previous testing and maping I have found out that there are about 20 clear QAM channels that my cable company broadcasts. I can select each one of them using the client (because this is faster than clicking the preview button for each one) and can figure out which ones are scrambled, but there is this cool little button on the botton right that says something like uncheck scrambled channels and there is a second button that says delete scrambeled channels.

When I click either of these, I get a message that "this could take some time", but it never does and the scrambeled channels are never unselected or deleted. I have tried highlighting all the unknown channels and using the buttons, but still no luck.

Does this function work or is this a future idea just waiting in the corner.

Works for me! ....well kind of. It seems to do the exact opposite. I perform a QAM scan and get 450 channels I hit the delete scrambled / encrypted and it only deletes my 40 or so Clear QAM legit channels and leaves all the non working ones. :-/

It behaves the same on multiple installs for me. Am I just a tard?

Works backwards for me to. The scan leaves all scrambled channels and some unscrambled channels as green (=unscrambled) and all unscrambled channels that are sending their channel ID as red (=scrambled). I have to manually identify the unscrambled channels and then manually delete the scrambled ones. It sucks when comcast makes a change to the line-up.
