Hey all, I haven't posted much so if I am in the wrong section let me know. I am trying to play drm protected material with media portal 2.2(*.WMAs). I can play all the music just fine with winamp. So I thought I could just enable the winamp external player plugin and be kosher. It didn't work, I tried rebooting and even launching winamp before mediaportal. Any clue on how to go about doing this? I do not need the vst plugins do I?

You probably need to associate WMA files with both:

    - Mediaportal music player (via Mediaportal configuration/music) so the interface knows they are music files
    - Mediaportal winamp plugin (via plugin configuration) so that the plugin knows to play these files.

Of course, longer term fix is to never buy anything with DRM in it :)

THANK YOU!!! I was wondering why it wouldn't load! I had it associated with winamp but forgot to put wma in the plugin configuration.

By the way I didn't buy any music. I don't even pay a subscription. Ruckus lets you play DRM music for free if you have a *.edu email address(so you can legally download it).
