I have done a recode and muxed the movie "Wanted" with the sup subtitle (SWE) (not hardcoded to the graphics file). I used the latest Ripbot264 and it took almost 24 hours with 2 pass.
After that i muxed in the chapter file (txt) with Mktoolnix. So now I have a perfect Matroska file on 7.44GB with chosable subtitle and chapters. No lagging sound or garbled movie picture.
In the meantime I have been aware of the "tearing" phenomenon. It's sometimes hard to repeat the tearings when I rewind and play the same video sequence. It's also depending on if I play full screen or windowed. I have to deal with that in another thread I guess, because it appears with other movies as well.
I use Core AVC for the x.264 and MPC MPA directly to SPDIF and reclock as audio renderer. Video render is now VMR9 with all three boxes ticked. The EVR also works but I maybe have more tearing. Is EVR a "no go" on XP?
Reclock is a nifty tool and has potentials but most often you have to force it the way you want it for every movie. Ftm. I have SPDIF ticked in reclock. It's not recommended but a movie without digital 5.1 sound? Thats not for me. I use 50hz on the TV monitor and speed films up from 24 to 25hz to get a green clock and better pannings. Not perfect but better. I guess I have to read other threads about Reclock as well. I have to try 30hz NTSC stuff to...
Anyway this 24Hz movie "Wanted" with full DTS bitrate now plays without lagging or interrupted spound and picture. The tearing is another beast I guess.
