Any news on this? I have the same problem. I'm using ffdshow for the passthrough.

I ended up reverting to the last known working SVN build, as most of my movies have DTS tracks. I don't know if the bug has been fixed in any of the latest SVN releases. If anyone has any knowledge of the bug being addressed, please let us know. If not, I hope it is soon, as I'd really like to stop running an older build just to get DTS passthrough.

I just tested the latest build and it's not fixed for me. I hope there will be a fix soon, I don't want to install another codec just 'cause of a bug.
Doesn't seem anyone cares though as ac3 filter does not seem affected.

DTS works in RC3 and the full release here. But i have other problems with using SPDIF passtrough. With ffdshow i get jitter/frameskipping of about 6 (even with the MPA codec), not if i pass DTS trough the filter reprocessing it to Dolby though  .

However back to your problem...
Did you install the final 2.3 in a new directory or over the existing RC3 directory? I have had really strange things happen with the sound doing that in previous releases so i always start from scratch with a new MP directory now.

The latest ffdshow tryout beta 4 fixes the intermittent stutter problem on certain DTS files....

Had afew mkv's with DTS that would stutter but now using this latest ffdshow the problem was corrected.

Well i installed ffdshow beta 4, 2007 12 06.
It is no different for me i am sorry to say. However this problem with frames skipping every couple of seconds on DTS sound out trough SPDIF is happening on all codecs and soundcards (i have changed soundcard to test), it is really strange.
I have to pass DTS trough ffdshow and get it resampled to Dolby 5.1, looses dynamics but no jitter.

Thanks for the tip though uncertainty :)

I had the same problem with skipping frames/stuttering from dts mkvs. I had to install ac3filter to get rid of it(maybe its solved in some the newer builds of ffdshow).
But Im still not able to play mkvs with dts in 2.3.0. (vista 32)

Just did a clean install of xp, and only installed haali and ffdshow 201207 + MP 2.3.0 and newest svn, but still the same thing, aka not able to play mkvs with dts. I must apply that I allso have problems playing a .ts file (264), but that could be another story.

I had this problem with stutter in dts .mkv files months ago (also on vista32). I got rid of it with the codec guide thats posted somewhere on this forum.

This is really starting to suck, dts passthrough is still not working properly when using ffdshow.
And this IS a media portal problem, it works fine in media center.

Seems the developers don't like this bug, they seem to be spending all their time fixing stupid bugs and ignore this one. This really is starting to suck, there is not even a decent response from any of the developers.

    Hi,
Yeah you're really contributing to solve it,
    1. Post logs according to how to report bugs.
    2. Add your system specifications according to how to report bugs.
    3. Post exact how to reproduce the problem & with what.
    4. MediaPortal it's open source so download source & start fixing.........

The problem is that itworks fine here so when not knowing how to confirm this, i can't make it a bug in mantis either........... ;)
